Our Mission

We are an eclectic community of makers, teachers, and thinkers that aim to lower the barriers to entry for creative and artistic endeavors.

Our primary concerns are:

  1. Providing an inclusive environment to help people find their creative voice

  2. Experiencing mindfulness while making

  3. Further developing our own creative process

  4. Being able to experiment and master any medium one would like

  5. Teaching and learning from others throughout the entire process.

Everyone from the beginner to the most experienced artist is welcome to be a part of the Incubator. We strive to inspire each other to be prolific makers and push the envelope to bring our ideas to life.

We also help artists with marketing strategies by learning how to present, show, or display their work, write artist statements and biographies, and assist with the application processes necessary to exhibit their work in galleries, museums, juried art fairs, and competitions.

Exhibitions

On a monthly basis, the gallery hosts a fresh set of featured artists.

On the last Friday of each month we have our openings, (or informal gatherings) where the artists are present to talk about their work, their inspirations, and their methods and techniques. Their work will be available for purchase if they desire.

There is also an online gallery that is open to anyone that would like to show and sell their work. High resolution images and an artist statement and bio are required.

Lectures

We also offer lectures periodically on various topics including, but not limited to, how to work in different types of mediums, design thinking and creative problem-solving methodologies, art and design history, and any other topics members might be interested in learning about.

Workshops

We offer workshops and classes in a wide variety of mediums. If you want to make something we have the resources and the knowledge to help you paint, construct, fabricate, cut, build, frame and matte, draw, print, weld, or glue among other things.

We are currently taking requests to determine what you want to learn. Let us know what you are interested in making and we will we can help you with the knowledge and resources needed to bring your idea to life.

Our weekly workshops-

Tuesday- Watercolors

Wednesday- Pattern Design

Makerspaces

There is a community area that is sectioned off where you can bring your own tools and supplies to build out your own space. There are also private studio spaces separate from the community area if you prefer to work in that environment.

The Incubator will also offer pop-up open studios with all necessary tools and supplies for certain projects. These studios may be used by anyone that would like, provided that they have completed the necessary training needed to use the tools and equipment.

Studio spaces can be rented on a temporary basis to work on a short-term project.
